Savor Cannon Beach offers a more intimate experience than typical wine festivals. Most of the events are limited to less than 150 participants and are within easy walking distance in this compact beach community.
SCHEDULE OF FESTIVAL EVENTS
THURSDAY, MARCH 12 (5-7pm)
Best of the Northwest Wines & Small Plates
Our opening night event is an evening of award-winning Northwest wines and chef-designed small plates to pair with them. We've spent the year tasting several hundred wines and watching major competitions to select eight notable wines that represent some of the best of current vintage wines from Oregon and Washington. Each wine will be paired with a small plate specifically designed to complement it. Your votes will determine the best wines of the evening from among the award-winning selections. Finish this fun evening on a sweet note with an award-winning dessert wine. Our Best of the Northwest Throwdown is an evening of delicious fun and is a great way to discover new wines and varietals while you increase your awareness of Northwest wine regions.

Misunderstood Wine Varietals & Why You Should Love Them
In this fun, but educational program you'll enjoy a guided tasting of award-winning Northwest wines that represent four of the most misunderstood wine varietals. Designed to help you taste wine like an expert, the tasting will discuss different wine characteristics in style, body, acidity and barrel influence. You'll also learn wine tasting do's and don'ts that will prepare you to taste wines like a pro. This program is designed for intermediate level wine appreciators and is conducted by WSET Level 3 Sommelier, professional wine judge and owner of the Cannon Beach Wine Shack, Steven Sinkler. Participants with Wine Walk tickets can check-in and pick up their glass at this event avoiding the line at the downtown Wine Walk check-in. This is a sit-down program, so you'll want to arrive on time and we kindly request no fragrances be worn.
