Get up and go or just relax at park and recreation areas all around Seaside.

Pack a picnic or grab your gear and head for one of Seaside's parks and recreation areas. Let the kids burn off energy on playgrounds, athletic fields or show off their skills at Seaside's great skate park. The Sunset Pool at Broadway Park offers lap swimming, spa and fitness facilities open to the public. You'll find access to waterways including boat launches and fishing locations. Discover the vibrant life along Seaside's estuary system, great for a quiet stroll, an easy paddle or serious birdwatching. Golfers will find courses nearby including the Seaside Golf Course and Oregon's oldest golf course, Gearhart Golf Links, that has attracted golfers for over a century.

On the River
Paddle, picnic or fish along Seaside's waterways. A boat launch, fishing dock and boat rentals can be found at Quatat Marine Park, just steps from Broadway on the Necanicum River. Broadway Park, Cartright Park and the Necanicum Estuary also offer river access for launching boats, fishing or bird watching.

Skate & Ride
Carve, grind and catch some air at Seaside's Skate'n Ride Park. This world class skate park features numerous bowls, ramps and lots of rail space. Allowable wheels are skateboards, inline skates, scooters, wheelchairs and BMX ­without pegs. Helmets are required.

Sports & Recreation
At Broadway Park, visitors of all ages will find a variety of recreational activities. This community park offers family picnic areas with playgrounds, multiple sports fields, a swimming pool, youth center and access to the Neawanna River. Broadway Park is home to the Skate'n Ride Park.

Explore the Estuary
Walk the trail and view wildlife at the Necanicum Estuary and the North Gateway Park at the north end of town. This land is culturally and spiritually significant to Clatsop native peoples. Nearby on North Holladay is a boardwalk and estuary viewing deck great for birdwatchers.

Golfing
Just north of Seaside stands a landmark to golf's beginnings in Oregon. Gearhart Golf Links has attracted golfers for over a century. The Seaside Golf Club is a nine-hole course located along the Necanicum River in south Seaside. The Highlands Golf Course in Gearhart is a nine-hole, walking course with ocean views.

Picnics & Playgrounds
Pack a picnic and head for one of Seaside's parks, perfect for families or groups. Cartwright, Goodman and Broadway Parks all offer playground equipment for kids and covered picnic areas. At Selzer Park you can watch the surfers and do some birdwatching while you picnic.
