The Oregon Coast Music Festival is the longest running music festival on the Oregon Coast and this summer marks its 41st season in Coos Bay, July 13-27. From classics by Mozart, Stravinsky and Brahms to Jazz at the Boathouse by Aaron Johnson Trio, these festival performances feature the talents of orchestra musicians throughout the Northwest and Canada. During the first week bands, quartets and solo performers can be seen playing at various venues throughout the town. Two outdoor concerts, played at Mingus Park on July 13 and Shore Acres State Park on July 20, are free and invite picnics, bare feet and dancing.
