Located in what used to be an abandoned schoolhouse, Latimer Quilt & Textile Center is now is a vibrant museum dedicated to preserving and promoting the textile arts.

Latimer Quilt & Textile Center in Tillamook is a working museum featuring exhibits of antique and contemporary quilts, weaving and spinning demonstrations, instruction in various textile arts, research library and textile repository .

A showcase exhibition space for northwest textile artists, Latimer Gallery highlights different eras or aspects of the textile world, often featuring vintage textiles or contemporary fiber and textile art made by local and nationally recognized artists.

The center's collection includes quilts from the mid-nineteenth century to present, quilt blocks, templates and fabric samples. There is a research library on site that contains rare and out of print books, a climate controlled textile repository and a gift shop with hand made items, books and hand-dyed and vintage fabrics.
