Hot Stuff on the Oregon Coast

The Jennifer Sears Glass Art Studio in Lincoln City can teach you to make a glass float or a paperweight to take home as a souvenir from your trip to the Oregon Coast.
No matter what the weather, there's one place on the coast that's always guaranteed to be hot. The Jennifer L. Sears Glass Art Studio in Lincoln City offers free glassblowing demonstrations Wednesday through Sunday from 10am to 6pm. After you've watched the creative process and you itch to get your hands in there and make a treasure for yourself, one of four glass artists will help you learn to make a glass float or a paperweight to take home. Making a glass float or paperweight costs $75 and takes about 20 to 30 minutes. If this experience whets your appetite for further instruction in glass arts, it can be arranged with one of the artists. The artists also help those with disabilities to make their own art projects. Walk-ins are welcome, but to assure there is time and space for you, it's a good idea to call ahead for an appointment. The Jennifer L. Sears Glass Art Studio is located at 4821 SW Highway 101 in Lincoln City (541) 996-2569.
