Visitors in search of famous film locations in Astoria can now follow the Historic Oregon Film Trail marked with new interpretive signage.

Most Oregonians know that the state has a long and prolific history in the film industry. In fact, more than 450 films and television shows have featured thousands of local landscapes as their backdrop. Now, cinephiles can follow the signs of the Historic Oregon Film Trail for an insider's look into anecdotes and production facts behind three iconic films shot on location in Astoria. Placed at photo-worthy locations, the new signage is a beacon to visitors in search of film locations and stories. Make a day of it in Astoria by visiting the Oregon Film Museum for more memorabilia.
