Celebrating 20 Years of Glass Float Treasure Hunting in Lincoln City

Since 1999 Finders Keepers has grown to become Lincoln City's signature promotion, attracting visitors to the beach to hunt for glass float treasures.

Finders Keepers was first launched as a way to commemorate the new millennium in Lincoln City, Oregon and attract visitors to the beach in winter. Each year since, visitors head to the Oregon Coast to hunt for the brightly colored glass floats hidden on the beach in Lincoln City. To celebrate the program's 20th year, Finders Keepers extended its season to be year-round.

More than 3000 floats will be hidden by "Float Fairies" along the coast, stretching from Roads End to Siletz Bay, and can be found above the high tide line and below the beach embankment. Additionally, in honor of the two-decade milestone, 20 limited-edition floats will be hidden on the 20th of each month. Special glass drops also take place throughout the year to commemorate holidays and special events. Unlike ordinary glass floats, each piece is hand blown, numbered and registered by officially-commissioned glass artists.
