Adventure awaits this summer for young people at Nature Adventure and Nature Survival Camps through Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. The two week-long camps in July offer outdoor experiences in nature, survival and exciting overnight adventures for young people.
Nature Adventure Camp, held July 8-12, offers a week of day-camp adventures as well as an overnight stay inside Fort Clatsop. This camp program is 100 percent outdoors. Participants have the opportunity to build teamwork skills, make new friends, paddle around a lake and dip for aquatic animals and hike along the Fort to Sea Trail. Nature Adventure Camp is open to students entering grades 4-6 and the cost is $140.
Nature Survival Camp, held July 15-19, offers paddle trips and woodland explorations deep into the park and to other nearby sites. Campers can explore and practice navigation and foraging survival skills. Campers also spend two nights camping at the beach. This camp is open to students entering grades 7-9 and the cost is $150.
