The oldest continuous maritime art competition on the West Coast, Coos Art Museum will host the 24th annual Maritime Art Exhibition featuring artwork from across the country, July 8 through September 23, 2017. The featured artist for this exhibition, Pacific Northwest marine artist Steve Mayo has had a lifetime interest in maritime art and history. The consistent quality and historical accuracy of his paintings established him as a premier marine artist and garnered a first place award at the 1980 Mystic Seaport International Marine Art Exhibition.
