Cannon Beach Restaurants Feature Holiday Foods Around the World

Global cuisine, music and whale watching are all on the schedule in Cannon Beach between Christmas and New Year's.

Cannon Beach restaurants will present special menus featuring cuisine from around the world between Christmas and New Year's for the town's Holiday Foods Around the World celebration, December 26-30. Nine Cannon Beach restaurants will participate in the global cuisine event with each location offering specials inspired by different countries. Menus will feature cuisines including Thai, Italian, German and Spanish with options ranging from multiple-course meals at set prices to individual menu items. Some of the options include Vietnamese dishes at The Bistro such as caramel chicken with nuoc-mam-cham kimchi. The Wayfarer Restaurant will feature traditional Spanish paella de mariscos and EVOO Cannon Beach Cooking School will offer a three-course, Sicilian-inspired dinner show that will showcase Trapani tomato Marcona almond pesto over busiate pasta with Menfi-inspired lamb meatballs.

Visitors to Cannon Beach during this week can also enjoy a special holiday concert with premier a cappella group The Coats at Coaster Theatre on December 28. The Coats have shared stages with The Beach Boys, Trisha Yearwood and Eddie Money; and their intensely arranged and hilarious interactive performance seamlessly blends music and comedy. The week also includes Oregon State Parks' winter whale watch program featuring interpreters at Ecola State Park to help spot migrating Gray Whales, December 27-31.
