Not many home tours take place with the Pacific Ocean and one of the most iconic Oregon images, Haystack Rock, in view. Since the late 1800s Cannon Beach has been a destination community and for over a decade the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum has welcomed visitors from all over the region to tour the town's vintage homes, historic inns and architectural wonders. Over the years the tour has received accolades from Oregon Home Magazine, Sunset Magazine, The Oregonian and Seattle Times among others.
For the first time, the 14th annual tour will focus on the unique craftsmanship and architecture of northern Cannon Beach. The weekend event includes a concert reception, a luncheon and lecture, an English style garden tea and tours of historic cottages (the original tiny house), grand beach homes, lodges and inviting gardens. Tickets go on sale July 1 and can be purchased individually or as a weekend package.

Friday, September 8
Opening Concert and Reception: 6pm
Featuring Kelsey Mousley and The Next Right Thing, perform at Cannon Beach Chamber Hall, 207 N. Spruce. Tickets are $15 and include refreshments.
Saturday, September 9
Luncheon & Lecture: Noon-1pm
Speaker Dr. Doug Deur is a cultural geographer, resident of Arch Cape and local history guru. He has written many popular books on local tribal traditions, plant foraging, and history. Held at the Cannon Beach Chamber Hall, tickets for the luncheon and lecture are $25.
Home & Garden Tour: 1-5pm
One of the highlights of this year's tour is the site of one of the first hotels in Cannon Beach, built from Spruce lumber in 1892. Maps are available for pick-up by presenting your ticket on Tour day no earlier than noon at the Cannon Beach Chamber Hall, 207 N. Spruce. Tickets for the self-guided tour are $35, and include a post tour reception at the Cannon Beach Chamber Hall.
Reception & Live Music: 6-8pm
Following the tour the festivities continue with wine, local libations, and hors d'oeuvres. Local favorite, Thistle & Rose will provide live music and locally hand crafted artwork will be raffled. Raffle tickets are one for $5, three for $10 or seven for $20.
Sunday, September 10
Garden Tea: 11am
The final event of the weekend is an English style garden tea at the Cannon Beach Chamber Hall with a presentation by gardening professional Dawn Hummel. Her specialty is stages, perennial bed planting designs, seasonal potted containers and garden renovations. Tickets are $20.
Proceeds benefit the Cannon Beach History Center and Museum, a non-profit organization. Tickets go on sale July 1 and can be purchased through the museum's online gift shop or by phone.
