Galleries in Cannon Beach, Oregon announce artist receptions and demonstrations for the 31st annual Stormy Weather Arts Festival.

Work by visiting artists will be featured throughout the Stormy Weather Arts Festival at receptions, themed shows and demonstrations. Among the visiting artists will be sculptor Georgia Gerber, who is best known for the life-size "piggy bank," Rachel, at the entrance to the Pike Place Public Market in Seattle. Gerber will discuss her work at Northwest by Northwest Gallery. Work by Cannon Beach's best-known resident artists will include paintings by Jeffrey Hull and blown glass by Jim Kingwell and Suzanne Kindland, all of whom have been featured on Oregon Public Broadcasting's "Art Beat" television program.

Archimedes Gallery
Archimedes will host an artist reception at 5pm on Saturday and will feature artists Erik Abel, Nicole Gustafsson, Kelli MacConnell and Brin Levinson throughout the weekend

Bronze Coast Gallery
Artists featured during the weekend include Carol Gold, Robert Rogers, Cary Henrie, Joshua Tobey and Jim Eppler. The gallery will host a welcome event on Friday at 5pm, an artist reception on Saturday from 6-9pm and a coffee hour with the artists on Sunday at 10am.

Cannon Beach Gallery
The gallery will host Nehalem Valley Ceramic Artists and HiiH Lights of Astoria featuring Lâm Quang and Kestrel Gates. The gallery will offer workshops during the day on Saturday.

DragonFire Gallery
The gallery will feature a group show over the weekend including 30 artists that will focus on the theme of Imagine, with inspiration from the lyrics of John Lennon. The gallery will host a wine and chocolate preview reception on Friday, 4-6pm. On Saturday from 11am-3pm, DragonFire will feature artist demonstrations followed by a 4pm artist reception with music from Bucky Pottschmidt, who will debut a new song written specifically for the weekend show. Sunday from 11am-1pm, the gallery will offer a light brunch featuring more artist demonstrations and music from John Silliman-Dodge.

Icefire Glassworks
Featured artists for the weekend include Mark Gordon, Pamela Juett, Steve Krig, Laura Bowker and Kathleen Sheard, in addition to local glass artists Jim Kingwell and Suzanne Kindland. Saturday from 9am-3pm, Icefire will host a breakfast reception followed by artist interactions and demonstrations. On Sunday morning, the artists welcome guests back for more talks and demos, along with hot cider and cupcakes from 10-11:30am.
