Those looking for a raucous good time in Cannon Beach, Oregon are sure to enjoy the 2017 Acoustic Folk Music Series of concerts at the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum. For over a decade, Cannon Beach History Center & Museum has welcomed local talents and renowned musicians from all over the county to perform in this intimate setting. Aimed at music lovers of all ages, the concert series kicks-off in February and continues through May with everything from blues and jazz to rock and toe-tapping Celtic music and everything in between. Sponsored by Martin Hospitality, proceeds from the series help fund museum programs and field trips.
Concert seating is very limited. Doors open at 6:30pm and music starts at 7pm. General admission is $15 for adults and $2 for children. Tickets are available online at www.cbhistory.org and by phone at (503) 436-9301.

February 24 - The Stomtowners
This dynamic group blends Irish instrumentation, voice and foot percussion. Featuring Maldon Meehan Dancer, The Stomptowners deliver choreographed Sean-nos dance and traditional song, all in one setting. Expect to hear an exciting blend of foot stomping jigs, reels and hornpipes interlaced with melodic, soulful Celtic songs, feisty sea shanties and a few good pub songs.
March 31 - Carolyn Cruso
A performer, Carolyn Cruso, is equally comfortable on the hammered dulcimer, flute, and guitar. With a fluid playing style and broad knowledge of Celtic music she performs a diverse array of original tunes and songs as well as traditional material.
April 28 - Adlai Alexander
Acclaimed singer and songwriter, Adlai Alexander is known for the sweetness and wide range of his voice. He sings and accompanies himself with intricate guitar in a way that's rare in both the acoustic and jazz worlds. Formally trained in classical theory and composition, Alexander enjoys the challenge of arranging band or orchestral music for solo guitar.
May 26 - Beth Willis
Soul-blues diva, Beth Willis and guitarist, Todd Chatalas are soulful musicians, performing rock, acoustic and blues. Willis is a local favorite who is well known for her smoky voice and amazing stage presence. Awarded Best Female Artist at the Portland Music Awards in 2012, The Oregonian says, "Willis' full, expressive voice brings her sharp songwriting to life, blending Americana, rock and western influences."
June 9 - John Stowell
Local favorite and world-renowned jazz guitarist John Stowell wraps up the 2017 concert series. Stowell's Through the Listening Glass with David Friesen was designated one of the "Ten Best Jazz Albums of the Decade" by the Los Angeles Examiner and is a contributing columnist for a number of music publications.
