From second hand shops to expansive antique malls, Lincoln City is filled with all sorts of antiquing gems for you to discover. And during Antique Week, February 11-20, participating antique retailers will have special deals and discounts during the citywide event
Throughout Antique Week shoppers and visitors can earn fabulous prizes by participating in the Quilt Treasure Hunt. Honoring this year's theme, "Communities Sewn Together," search for hidden quilt squares at participating stores. Collect all seven stamps and enter to win, prizes include a Lincoln City weekend getaway, antique glass floats and glass hearts. Pick up a map and entry form from the Visitor Information Center, Chamber of Commerce or from many of the antique stores in Lincoln City.
Lincoln City will also host a special antique Japanese glass float drop on the beach during Antique Week. Three hundred antique Japanese floats and 14 heart-shaped paperweights will be hidden for visitors to find and keep, February 11-12.
The North Lincoln County Historical Museum is a great stop during Antique Week. Not only can you learn about Lincoln City's past and the history of glass floats, the museum will also have a special antique quilt exhibit to enjoy.
Have your treasures appraised at Lincoln City Cultural Center on Wednesday, February 15th. A panel of experts will be on hand from 5-8pm to give you an appraisal for only $5 per item. This appaise-a-thon also includes a silent auction and food and beverages for purchase.
