#2: Cape Kiwanda

The north end of Pacific City’s beach is defined by a six-story sand dune culminating in the sheer sandstone cliffs of Cape Kiwanda at the water’s edge that seem to curve out of the very surf below. Pounding waves have carved the cape's raw and wild edges, creating a dramatic collection of caves, arches and waterspouts. Climb the dune to reach the top of the cape for the best views of waves crashing into the golden cliffs below.
