Tillamook Head is the headland situated between Seaside and Cannon Beach. This moderately difficult trail connects the two towns and can be begun from either location, but the preferred trailhead is located at Indian Beach in Ecola State Park (Day Use $5) at the north end of Cannon Beach. Walk through healthy rainforest of Western Hemlock, Sitka Spruce and Western Red Cedar as you enjoy the symphony provided by woodland birds. Following a steep 1.2-mile trail you’ll discover numerous stop-you-in-your-tracks views before arriving at a hiker’s camp and the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse viewpoint. The trail continues on an additional four miles up and over the headland, concluding at the south end of Seaside.
